Trump, who has been frustrated at the pace of talks , has been presented with options for restarting military action. He said he was an hour away from ordering up strikes earlier this week, only to hold back at the request of Gulf nations.
On Friday, he scuttled plans to travel to his golf resort in New Jersey for the weekend and confirmed he would not be attending his son’s wedding in the Bahamas — opting instead to stay in Washington due to what he said were “circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America.”

“The Republican-controlled House continues to behave like a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Trump administration. Republicans cowardly pulled a scheduled vote on a War Powers Resolution – legislation that would have passed with bipartisan support and required the President to end the conflict in the Middle East,” they added.
The vote has been postponed until lawmakers return from a recess in June, but it appears likely that the resolution could pass then.

진짜 이유는 공화당이 하원에서 이란전을 중단시킬 결의안 표결을 취소하고 6월로 연기했기 때문이겠지.
공화당에서 추가 이탈표가 나와 통과될게 뻔해서 일단 연기했지만 그래봤자 6월은 내일 모레.
물론 트럼프는 거부권을 때려 의회로 돌려보내겠지만 정치적 타격은 불가피, 만에 하나 상하원 2/3이 거부권 조까 하면 빼박임.
결국 신세계의 문을 열어제낄 수 밖에.
